Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is a hilarious, film noir inspired detective film, about a New York thief, who ends up in L.A. learning to be a private eye for a part in a TV show. 3. Fargo (1996) Directed By Joel Coen, rated R, 98 minutes
Fargo is a brilliantly written dark comedy/crime drama. Arguably the Coen brothers best film, Fargo is about a dimwitted husband who plans a fake kidnapping to make some money. The acting is great all around, and the Minnesota winter setting is perfect (plenty of hilarious Minnesotan accents). Written by the best screenwriter around, Charlie Kaufman, and boldly directed by Michael Gondry, Eternal Sunshine manages to be a romantic comedy that even men will enjoy.
