Before Sunrise is beautiful and wonderfully offbeat romantic film about a young American on his way to the airport who meets a French girl on a train in Europe, and they spend the day together in Vienna knowing it will probably be their only day together. Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy have incredible chemistry and really seem as though they truly are in love. Yeah, 'offbeat romantic film' is certainly the most apt epithet for this movie. I'm sure whoever first heard Linklater's idea must have swept his hand in casual disdain, and then bit the same hand of his after watching the movie. A really wonderful, quaint and unique piece of work!!!
