Directed by Warren Beatty, rated R, 108 minutes
Bulworth is a clever and absurdly fun political satire about a suicidal senator who puts a contract on his head, but before it come through, he starts telling his constituents the blunt truth. Warren Beatty knocks it out of the park with a fearless and wonderfully bizarre performance. The story manages to make fun of everyone in politics without being preachy, and keeps from being cliched by unabashedly dealing with plenty of dark subject matters in a humorous way. The film pulls no punches, as it savagely mocks American politics, and Bulworth ends up one of the best political comedies around. You'll like it if: You like political humor, satire, Warren Beatty, Network, In the Loop, Election or Dr. Strangelove or: How I learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.
