"Your eyes... Your ears... Your senses... will be overwhelmed."

Days of Heaven (1978)
Directed by Terrence Malick, rated PG, 94 minutes

Days of Heaven is a melancholy and meditative drama about young and hotheaded day laborer, who convinces the girl he loves to marry the rich and dying owner of the farm where they work. Richard Gere gives one of his best and most subtle performances, and simple but effective story is brilliantly framed by a young girl's narration. The cinematography is absolutely breathtaking, and each frame is like a small work of art. Days of Heaven is a lush, unique and powerful film, with deeply interesting characters and a incredible, dream-like atmosphere. You'll like it if: You like period pieces, incredible cinematography, Terrence Malick's films, Into the Wild, Once Upon a Time in America or Witness.
