"As P.T. Barnum put it, 'There's a sucker born every minute.'"

Paper Moon (1973)
Directed by Peter Bogdanovich, rated PG, 102 minutes

Paper Moon is an endearing throwback comedy set during the Great Depression, about a con man who is pressured into delivering a young orphan across the country, and ends up developing a criminal partnership with her. Ryan and the adorable Tatum O'Neal, real life father and daughter, play off each other hilariously, and Madeline Kahn is brilliantly funny in her small role. The dialogue is quick and always witty, and each of the cons are cleverly pulled off. Paper Moon has a classic Hollywood feel with some amazing black & white cinematography, charming characters and a delightful story. You'll like it if: You like films about con men, films set during the Great Depression, The Kid, O' Brother, Where Art Thou? or The Last Picture Show.
