"The story of a man ready to make a connection."

Up in the Air (2009)
Directed by Jason Reitman, rated R, 108 minutes

Up in the Air is a refreshing and charming dramedy about a man, whose job it is to fly around the country and fire people, getting a young partner who wants to change the whole business. George Clooney, in a role perfect for him, gives a commanding performance, and Vera Farmiga and Anna Kendrick are both likable and lively in their supporting roles. The film brings you into the world of the main character, showing all his idiosyncrasies and flaws, and works as an intriguing character study. Up in the Air expertly balances hilarious dialogue and powerful dramatic moments, to create a poignant dramedy for our times.
