(500) Days of Summer is a cleverly written and offbeat romantic comedy about a girl who doesn't believe in love, and the boy that falls in love with her. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is infectiously energetic as well as captivating, and has an odd chemistry with a distant but lovable Zooey Deschanel. The dialogue is clever and snappy, and the story is told in a non-linear way, which helps keep it fresh. (500) Days of Summer is, above all, a lot of fun, and captures a wonderful love story with all the ups and downs. You'll like it if: You like hipster rom-coms, movies about twenty-somethings, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Chasing Amy, Gigantic or Annie Hall.
