"A comedy about fear of commitment, hating your job, falling in love and other pop favorites."

High Fidelity (2000)
Directed by Stephen Frears, rated R, 113 minutes

High Fidelity is smart and quirky romantic comedy about a thirty-something record shop owner who goes over his top five breakups, including the one he's currently going through. John Cusak brings likability and a certain charm to a part that was made for him, and Jack Black and Tim Robbins are absolutely hilarious in their small parts. The main character is obsessive about music, which gives the film an interesting angle (and great soundtrack), but there are plenty of laugh out loud moments for anyone. High Fidelity's greatest strength is the way it allows you to enter the mind of the main character, and allows you to feel everything he feels. You'll like it if: You like romantic comedies, films about music, John Cusak, Swingers, Clerks or Annie Hall.
