"Go Someplace Cool"

Encounters at the End of the World (2007)
Directed by Werner Herzog, rated G, 99 minutes

Encounters at the End of the World is a stunningly beautiful and illuminating documentary about Antarctica and the people that live and work there. Werner Herzog narrates in his oddly charming and enlightening way, but the interesting and eccentric people that spend their time in Antarctica are the true stars. However, the landscapes and unbelievable terrain of the area are amazing, and the film has some unforgettable images. Werner Herzog said he wouldn't be making another film about penguins, and he succeeded in showing the human side, as well as the beautiful nature of Antarctica. You'll like it if: You like nature documentaries, films about Antarctica, Werner Herzog's films, Grizzly Man, An Inconvenient Truth or Fast, Cheap & Out of Control.
