"Have you flirted yet?"

Flirting with Disaster (1996)
Directed by David O. Russell, rated R, 92 minutes

Flirting with Disaster is a fast-paced and absurdly funny comedy about a man who, with his wife and newborn baby, tries to hunt down his biological parents with the help of an inept case worker. The terrific ensemble cast includes Ben Stiller, Josh Brolin, Richard Jenkins, Tea Leoni, but it's the older actors, Mary Tyler Moore, Alan Alda, Lily Tomlin and George Segal, who are the funniest and most enjoyable. All the quirky characters are given snappy dialogue, and the situations keep building until the hilarious climax. Flirting with Disaster is a truly funny film with memorable gags, amazing performances and brilliant dialogue. You'll like it if: You like road comedies, screwball comedies, Ben Stiller, Broken Flowers, I Heart Huckabees or The Graduate.
