The Last Days of Disco (1998)
Directed by Whit Stillman, rated R, 113 minutes

The Last Days of Disco is a witty comedy about a group of upper class friends that spend most of their time at the disco, who see the demise of their golden era. The ensemble cast is strong all around, especially Chloe Sevigny and Chris Eigeman, who steals the show as the sarcastic, womanizing club worker. Stillman's dialogue is easily the most impressive and important part of the film, and it's chock full of classic lines. The Last Days of Disco has a thankfully small number of disco cliches, and it's clear director Whit Stillman wanted to present a realistic look at a distinct period and the colorful people that populated it. You'll like it if: You like dialogue heavy comedies, ensemble comedies, Chris Eigeman, Metropolitan, Kicking and Screaming or Swingers.
