Rope is a brilliantly directed and truly disturbing suspense film about two classmates who kill an "inferior" classmate and hide his body in their apartment right before hosting a party, to test the perfection of their crime. Jimmy Stewart delivers a terrific and nuanced performance, working with an undoubtedly intriguing and suspenseful script. The film runs in real time, and director Alfred Hitchcock expertly uses impressively long takes.
