A Film About the Worst Director Ever

Ed Wood (1994)
Directed by Tim Burton, rated R, 127 minutes

Ed Wood is a wild and incredibly fun black and white film about the life, career, friends and romances of director Ed Wood, known for making some of the worst movies of all time. Johny Depp is superb as Wood, capturing his love for film as well as his madcap behavior. The film is filled with wonderfully written and acted characters, like Martin Landau as Bela Lugosi, Vincent D'Onofrio as Orson Welles and Bill Murray as drag queen Bunny Beckinridge. Ed Wood is a delightful and inspiring comedy, brimming with entertaining characters, most of all Ed Wood himself. You'll like it if: You like biopics, movies about movies, Tim Burton's movies, The Player or Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
