The Royal Tenenbaums is a quirky and beautifully made dark comedy/ drama about an estranged dysfunctional family, who reunite when their father announces he has a terminal illness. The absolutely fantastic cast, including Gene Hackman, Ben Stiller, Angelica Huston, Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson, Gwyneth Paltrow and narration by Alec Baldwin,
are all spot-on because they're given terrific characters. Indie writer-director Wes Anderson offers a hilarious but sad story about family, and the look of the film is just perfect.
